Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU)
An ADU is a self-contained dwelling that may be located within a single-family dwelling or in a permanent accessory structure. Single-family dwellings with an ADU shall not substantially alter the structure or appearance of the existing structure. Accessory Structures that house an ADU shall be architecturally compatible with the primary structure. ADUs are often called mother-in-law, basement, accessory apartments, cottage homes, accessory suites, or ancillary units.Requirements
The following table outlines some of the ADU requirements. The full list of requirements is listed in Title 15 of the municipal code (15.3.24.090(E)).

Secondary Address | ADUs are assigned a secondary address for public safety purposes. The address is not recognized by the USPS for mail delivery. |

ADUs in Spanish Fork must be registered annually. Visit CitizenServe to submit an application. The annual registration fee is $60.
