Development Review Committee
The Development Review Committee (DRC) is created to provide technical review of development applications and land issues. The DRC is composed of 9 staff members from the many departments of the City. The DRC provides a recommendation to the Planning Commission and City Council for the following:
- Annexations
- General Plan, Master Plan Element Amendments
- General Plan Text Amendments
- General Plan Map Amendments
- Zone Text Changes
- Zone Map Changes
- Preliminary Plats
- Conditional Use Permits
- Construction Standards
The DRC is the approving authority for Site Plans and Final Plats.
The DRC meets every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the City Council Chambers, 80 South Main Street, Spanish Fork.
The meeting may be canceled if there is not a quorum or only one item on the agenda.
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is a board of 6 community members that have been appointed by the Mayor to review development applications. The Planning Commission provides a recommendation to the City Council for the following:
- Annexations
- General Plan, Master Plan Element Amendments
- General Plan Text Amendments
- General Plan Map Amendments
- Zone Text Changes
- Zone Map Changes
- Preliminary Plat Master Planned Developments
- Construction Standards
The Planning Commission is the approving authority for Conditional Use Permits and Standard Subdivions Preliminary Plat Applications.
