Spanish Fork City has implemented a new program for individuals violating Spanish Fork City ordinances. This new program is an administrative process. This program will allow citizens who have been issued a Notice of Violation the opportunity to pay an administrative fee rather than a fine to the court. The main purpose of this program is to allow those individuals who have committed a violation the opportunity to pay a lower fee than would have been paid at the District Court. It also changes the severity of the violation from a criminal act to an administrative violation which will not show on a person's criminal history. Most of these violations will be issued for animal, parking problems and zoning issues. Violations can be issued by Spanish Fork Police Officers or other City Employees. There will still be some animal violations that will be cited into District Court.
If you are issued a Notice of Administrative Violation you may pay the fee three ways:
- In person at the Police Department at 789 West Center
- By mail to the Police Department at 789 West Center
- By credit card via phone at 801-804-4700
Payment must be made by personal check, cashiers check, debit/credit card, or money order. A copy of the notice must be provided with payment.
If you have been issued a fix it violation, you must take care of that in person.
Failure to pay the fee within 14 days of the violation date will result in the paper work being turned over to the District Court for further action.
