Spanish Fork, UT — Out of an abundance of caution regarding COVID-19, and in compliance with recommendations given by the State of Utah, Spanish Fork City will be implementing the following preventative measures to slow the spread of the virus:
-
No gatherings of more than 100 people will be held.
-
All activities at the Spanish Fork Senior Center will be cancelled, including classes, programs, and lunches.
-
The Animal Vaccination and Licensing Clinic on Saturday, March 14 is postponed until a later date.
-
The Parks & Recreation Master Plan Public Meeting scheduled for Monday, March 16 is cancelled and may be rescheduled at a later date. Residents are encouraged to participate in the public input process for this plan online at spanishfork.org/parksplan.
-
Spanish Fork Youth Theatre’s production of Frozen Jr., scheduled for March 24-28, is postponed until a later date.
These measures are effective through Monday, March 30, at which point they will be re-evaluated. A list of all events and their status is available at spanishfork.org/calendar.
Recreation and library programs will continue as scheduled. We encourage participants or parents of children participating in various programs to evaluate their circumstances to decide whether or not you will participate in programs that have not been cancelled. Our focus during this situation is to maintain all essential city services, with minimal disruptions.
City Staff are evaluating staffing needs and planning for contingencies if staff levels are reduced due to quarantines. Staff are also increasing cleaning procedures in public spaces.
City offices and facilities will remain open to the public. Residents seeking to reduce public interaction can continue to conduct city business through other means, including the following:
-
Pay utility bills online, by phone, or mail. More information is available online: https://www.spanishfork.org/departments/finance/pay_utility_bill.php
-

It is very important that residents be educated and proactive in measures that can slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Research shows that this virus is less severe for the general population; however, preventive measures taken by all can help protect the most vulnerable members of our community, including older adults and those with serious chronic medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes, or respiratory issues. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the following as preventative measures that everyone should take to help slow the spread of the virus:
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or with alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol)
-
Avoid close contact with anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms
-
Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing
-
Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes
-
If you are experiencing symptoms, stay home
-
We recommend and encourage residents to practice social distancing to reduce the potential spreading of the virus
Spanish Fork City will provide COVID-19 related updates and information daily around Noon.
