Last summer, we announced plans to build a new library in Spanish Fork. The process for building the new library includes three phases: (1) feasibility study (to determine the spaces and amenities needed), (2) design, and (3) construction. The feasibility study, which included the workshop and survey that were held in November, was completed earlier this year.
During the last few months, we have been working with the architects to implement the results of the feasibility study into a design for the new library. We had originally planned to hold another workshop to get your feedback on the design concepts, but are unable to do so because of COVID-19. But that doesn’t mean we don’t need your feedback! Please take the following survey (https://form.jotform.com/200835396853059) to give us your thoughts on a proposed site plan, floor plan, and exterior materials that may be used.
We recognize that the current climate brings a lot of uncertainty for the future. We are committed to the process of planning, designing, and building a new library; however, we do not know how COVID-19 may affect our current timeline. Although we may not build the new library when we had originally planned, we can still complete the plans so that we are ready to begin construction when the time is right.
