The Utah County Health Department will be holding the Household Hazardous Waste Event from April 1-30. Take your items to SUVSWD Transfer Station for free at 2450 W 400 S, Springville.
“The Household Hazardous Waste disposal program is a great way to keep toxic things out of our water system and garbage cans,” Spanish Fork Fleet & Garbage Division Manager, Max Sabey said. “We encourage Spanish Fork residents to participate in this event if they have toxic waste to dispose of.”
Only hazardous items can be disposed of for free this month. These items include: electronic waste, paint thinner, paint, stain, oil, antifreeze, automotive products, household cleaners, batteries, pesticides, fertilizers, propane tanks, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, and sharps.
Non-hazardous materials can be disposed of at no cost during the Spanish Fork Spring Cleanup that starts on April 26.
