Spanish Fork, UT — The Spanish Fork City Council selected Shane Marshall to fill the vacant council member position created by Keir Scoubes’ resignation.
“We are excited to welcome Shane to the City Council,“ said Mayor Steve Leifson. “He will provide us with great insights on infrastructure and transportation and I look forward to working with him for the next six months.”
After graduating with a civil engineering background, Marshall spent 25 years with the Utah Department of Transportation. Marshall also served for four years on the Spanish Fork Planning Commission. Currently, Marshall is the Director of Transportation Development with Horrocks Engineering.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the City Council to add value as quickly as possible,” Councilman Marshall commented. “Utah County and Spanish Fork are facing growth challenges for the future. I’m looking forward to working with the community to find sustainable solutions that allow us to continue to have the quality of life that we’ve come to expect in Spanish Fork.”
The appointment will be through January 4, 2022 when the seat will be filled in the general election. For election information, visit spanishfork.org/elections.
