Work on SR-198 (E Canyon Road) began on Monday, July 9. Work will include the application of a new thin asphalt layer to improve the road's general condition. The construction zone will extend east from the intersection of Canyon Road and Main Street to the US-6 intersection.
Work hours will be Monday-Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm. Be prepared for delays as traffic will be limited to a single lane in each direction. Additionally, some areas will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers directing traffic during work hours.
The contractor will maintain access to properties and side streets throughout the project. If your access is directly adjacent to Canyon Road, you may experience temporary loss of access due to construction directly in front of your property. In this case, you will be notified before the contractor begins this work.
This project is expected to be completed by mid-September 2018.
