Spanish Fork, Utah — At approximately 10:55 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, the Spanish Fork Fire & EMS department was dispatched to an outbuilding fire in the 7000 S. 4000 W. block of Utah County.
Nearby residents saw smoke and fire in the outbuilding and called 911. As the first fire unit arrived on scene, heavy smoke and fire were observed coming from an outbuilding that was not attached to any other structures.
Fire crews were able to control the fire and contain the damage to the building of origin. There were no exposures that were damaged.
Spanish Fork Fire & EMS units were assisted by Salem EMS, the Utah County Sheriff's Office, Central Utah 911, and the Utah County Fire Marshal. Three chief officers, 16 firefighters, two engines, and one water tender responded to mitigate the incident.
The fire was controlled by crews within 11 minutes of arrival on scene.
Damages are estimated at approximately $4000. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Utah County Fire Marshal's Office.
There were no injuries that took place from this incident.
