Spanish Fork, UT — The 2024 Spanish Fork’s Wings & Wheels airshow will feature the largest gathering of World War II aircraft in event history, and one of the largest in recent Utah history.
“We are thrilled to have over 15 World War II aircraft coming to our airport for our event,” Airport Manager Christian Davis said. “All of the aircraft will be on display, and many of them will be selling tickets for rides or giving walk through tours in the historic aircraft.”
Notable ride-giving warbirds include the B-25 Mitchell known as the “Maid in the Shade.” This aircraft flew 15 bombing missions over Italy.
The C-47 “Old Number 30” troop carrier will also be in Spanish Fork. This plane carried troops and supplies behind enemy lines in the Mediterranean Theater of WWII.
Rides on these planes must be purchased in advance at spanishfork.org/airshow.
Additional warbirds, including the PBY Catalina “Princess of the Stars”, which sank a German U-boat off the coast of Iceland during WWII, will be featured at the event.

In addition to the large warbird lineup, Wings & Wheels will feature eight airshow performers, including USAF Wings of Blue - US Air Force Academy’s Skydiving demonstration team.
A large lineup of vintage World War II vehicles will also be on display, as well as a classic car show.
Throughout the day, spectators can enjoy exotic car races on the taxiway and autocross races through an obstacle course. Registration for these events can also be found on the airshow website.
Admission is free for kids 10 and under with a paying adult. Tickets are available online at spanishfork.org/airshow and are discounted $5 until September 1.
