On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Chief Ashby was deployed as part of the California Interagency Incident Management Team 5 (CIIMT5).
Battalion Chief Ashby brings over 15 years of experience serving on CIIMT5, where he has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in wildfire management. For this incident, he will serve as the Plans Section Chief, a critical role responsible for organizing and coordinating operational strategies, resource allocation, and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved.
