On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Spanish Fork City Council unanimously approved the purchase of 10.36 acres for a future all-abilities park located at 1225 East Canyon Road.
For several years, the Spanish Fork City Mayor, City Council, and staff have recognized the need for an all-abilities park in Spanish Fork City. A significant donation by a local family has expedited the park’s priority.
“Words cannot express how grateful we are to this wonderful family for their extremely generous contribution to make our dream a reality,” said Mayor Steve Leifson. “When completed, this park will improve the quality of life for individuals of all abilities in our community and throughout the region.”
The City has initiated the planning and design process for the park, which the family and the City anticipate will be completed by July 2020.
